If house and land are on my wife's name

What would happen God forbid my wife dies before me ??? Would I have to leave house and Thailand ?? I really don't know would for example thai state take over ownership

Could I get solicitor letter covering my ownership here's where I have q as I know foreigners can't own land ??

A forced sale I think, and you don't want that.

First off, have your wife do a "will" leaving you the house. THEN if she dies you have a year to sell it.

If no "will" the property will go to the family ....and your "out"....unless your on good terms with them.

Or, You could ask your Local Land Office, if you can get a Usufruct. That would "guarantee" you that you can stay in the house (even after the wife dies) for xx years. (Not sure how long)
