Fast Auto Show Thailand 2016 to kick off in Bangkok on July 3

BANGKOK, 29 June 2016 (NNT) - Fast Auto Show Thailand 2016 will kick off at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, with organizers expecting to sell 3,000 cars.

Energy Minister Gen. Anantaporn Kanchanarat chaired the opening ceremony, which exhibits both used and new cars. The event expects to sell 2,000 new cars and 1,000 old cars.

This year, the used car market has shown signs of recovery, which is attributed to the recent tax hike on new cars this past year.

Due to government stimulus measures coupled with a recovering economy, the auto show expects strong purchasing power. Fast Auto Show Thailand 2016 will commence on July 3.

Motor shows in Thailand are becoming a bit like sales at Allied Carpets, there's one nearly every weekend.

At the end of March - start of April there is the Bangkok International Motor show, also in April the TAPA show (Thailand Auto Parts and Accessories), in June there is BIAS (Bangkok International Auto Salon), in December there is the Thailand International Motor Expo and now we have this new one as well.

On top of these shows you can throw in the dozens of mall motor shows/events that occur weekly in malls all over Thailand.

It would seem that Thailand is well positioned to be the Hub of Motor Shows in Asia.

Unless I'm reading things wrong, it appears to me that this show begins on June 29 and ends on July 3. I just checked the Bitec.com website and they have it listed with these start and end dates as well.

^^I think you are right. I happened to drive past BITEC yesterday and it appeared that the auto show was already in progress.
