An Airbus A380 = 850 passengers ;

For 10 millions visitors they need 11765 full A380 ,

or 32 landind each day ...tongue.png

Keep on dreaming TAT Thailand clap2.gif

In fact, for 18 July this year (just a random selected date), looking at flights from Beijing to either BKK or DMK on only Asian carriers (14 airlines total), and excluding codeshare flights:

There are 60 arriving flights in one day.

I think the basic arrivals numbers from TAT are OK., but some fraction of "tourist" arrivals are really travelers on business.

The major issue concerning Chinese tourists is their preference for so-called "zero baht" tours, in which most of the trip is prepaid and a higher proportion of the revenue flows back to China.

Overall, I would say the Thai tourism strategy, which is based on big growth in the numbers, does not look sustainable in the long term. The Thais are basically trashing the country. They have been doing this for a long time. At present, there is only the faint suggestion they are willing to regulate the industry to reduce the bad impacts. And I would not expect this to change as long as Thai incomes stay where they are. Feeding Ma and Pa comes before picking up the trash.
