Hi has anyone else had problems with mail delivery in the Khon Kaen area, i get4 or 5 letters fro abroad each week and they used to come spread throughout the week but since Songkran i have been getting no letters for up to a fortnight and then getting 4 or 5 together all with different posting dates up to 12 days apart, is this a problem with the mail service or with the customs service

I would say it is the local mail service. I have noticed mail from within the country not being delivered in a timely manor. They don't always deliver mail on a daily basis dependent upon your location.

Perhaps you have a new mail carrier.

I was one that praised the Thai postal service. But not anymore ! I get international post sent a month apart but arrive together. This has been happening for two years now, and it matches perfectly to the time in which Thai post moved into their new mail sorting facility.

Take a PO Box in a post office.
