Hotels near BTS in Saphan Kwai.

Featured Replies

Anyone recommend a hotel near the BTS in Saphan Kwai? I was in Nice Palace last night, clean hotel, but mini fridge filled with overpriced drinks, and

the towel split right down when I was drying myself after a shower. Had to fold it up and make it look OK so I would not lose any of the 400 Bt dep. That's

right, a 400 Bt deposit.

Next soi towards Saphan Kwai, Suda Palace.

Stayed at both, Suda is slightly more elegant/stylish, slightly more expensive, quieter (in a "The Shining" sort of way) and slightly less battered.

I was going to say nice palace also.Maybe try the next stop Mochit and look at. The hotels around there

I did google before I asked in this forum, knowing that there are wee gems that are not in google, ie, there is a wee gem of a hotel that does

not show up in google very close to Phitsanulok bus station, I went there for years not knowing about it, and now I use it regularly.

I googled Suda, it has a mixture of reports from very good, and very bad, I assume you are happy with it, I will try it the next time.

Thanks a lot.

Yes, I googled up at Mochit, only one came up near the BTS, very poor reports.

Are there more hotels within easy reach of Morchit BTS?

Near Mochit-the old busstation, now BTS end+garage there is NOTHING.

On Pradiphat rd, which is some 10-15 mins walk from the BTS, there are around 10 hotels/guesthss in different categories, this area has lots of halal-friendly places and the last yrs also dozens of money-change places. Suda is just one, there is Liberty, Karnmanee, Mido (or so), BKK condotel (more like small aprtmts), Elisabeth-I assume these can be found on booking or agoda. Some are a bit hidden in side-sois, incl. 1 hoStel, U2 or so-look hostelworld.

Nice is most likely one the dozens of short-time hotels, more aiming at short 3 hrs breaks with you hired lover for the time, most of these are on the other=east/BigC side of the Spn Kw crossing.

ON that busy=noisy rd, across from BigC is a place called LK or LN now as apartments, used to be a guesthse, but its a Thai shophouse, so most rooms wont have windows. Recently there are also several high-rise condo-towers which may also do shorter time rents-but thats monthes, not nights.
