Woes of buying from Lazada Thailand

I returned an item in February exactly as instructed( by post), emailed the post receipt as instructed, still have not received my refund

They seem incapable of dealing with this

I get the same automated reply every time

Never again

The delivery man is just delivering duuh. If everyone should inspect their merchandise then i think the postman would be late. Don't you think? I have very hard to believe that you can inspect before signing and if you were then it was the courtesy of the delivery man.

I do not have a good opinion on Lazada.

1. a) I ordered a Tefal grinder because it was some 10-15% cheaper than in a shopping mall. The delivery needed the double time than announced (problem only because I was blocked to go out)

cool.png I sent a detailed description how to find the house by e-mail but I was called 3 times because they could not find the address, even it is not too complicate and was explained on the phone again.

c) the grinder was broken and I went to Amorn according to Lazada's recommendation for repair service but there they said it's not possible to repair (ok, this may be Tefal's issue and not Lazada's)

d) a friend bought the same grindr in the shopping mall and had the same problem but got refund there (Lazada and Amorn were not involved)

2) I wanted to buy a Sony tablet at Lazada because this model was not available in none of the shops in Chiang Mai. Because Lazada gave no warranty on that item, I did not ordered (later I changed may mind and bought a phablet from Huawai but in the shopping mall).

To be fair: living in Chiang Mai I do not need an internet shop, there are so many shopping malls were you can see the real items and compare it physically instead to believe what is said online,

Anyway, never Lazada again !

Ordered for lazada over a dozen times. No issues at all thus far.

Returning an item to the delivery guy who is often just a courier is pointless. If the item is wrong, follow the online procedure and return it. As I said, never had the need to so far.

Same here....

It's not like ordering food smile.png

When you order from Amazon do you tell the Fedex guy to wait while you inspect the contents of the package?

Well, no, you wouldn't, but in a US department store the clerk would not unbox an electronics product at the counter, insert batteries, and demonstrate that it works before you pay for it either.

Every time I find something on Lazada that I'd like it says it has to be shipped from overseas. I check eBay and find the same item at around half the price. So far I've always gone with eBay and goods have arrived on time in perfect condition. I see no need for Lazada.

Lazada = 691

eBay = 300

That's far less than half price.

Dude really? They are two completely different manufacture's products! You CANNOT compare them.

I retract nothing and actually double down on my first statement!

Exactly, as i said before, I've never found anything on Lazada that I can't find significantly cheaper elsewhere, be it on Ebay or in local shops.

Since there are so many in this thread that claim the opposite, I just had a new try today, as I need a 3.5mm av to 3 rca cables.

The cheapest on Lazada is 40 Baht + 49 Baht shipping ( total 89 Baht ) , from a Thai supplier, all others are over 100 Baht excluding shipping.

On Ebay the exact same items are 27 Baht with free international shipping.

Oops gave the wrong Lazada link it should be

http://www.lazada.co.th/digital-lcd-wrist-blood-pressure-monitor-heart-beat-rate-pulse-meter-measure-1594468.html

which costs 437. eBay 300 Still substantially cheaper. Done this compare so many times and eBay is ALWAYS much much cheaper ..never found a product where the price is same or even close.

I await retraction of your comments which are based on NOTHING. Do some research before spouting off.

Agree with you 100%. People should do some research (like you have) before saying Lazada has competitive prices. Your example shows eBay is ~70% cheaper.

Not retracting square root of anything. You quote some obscure cheap chinese crap and think everything on ebay is cheaper? Give it a rest man. Nothing wrong with either Lazada or Ebay, both great companies to order from. You want to order from Ebay rather than Lazada Im cool with that. However, not everything is 50% cheaper on ebay which is the basic premise to your original post.

I have also found Ebay to be cheaper for overseas shipment items - consistently and the same items. This is a new development as items sold until the last year were stocked in Thailand - now it has become almost impossible to find local items in many cases (index system has always been very poor - and now they need an option to exclude overseas shipped/no COD items to at least make it usable). For items in stock in Thailand Lazada will often have a good price seller (although there will be others selling at high price).

I never said everything. I said those items which I have researched. You need to read before writing. And there is at least one other person here who agrees with me about eBay vs Lazada. You should give it a rest until you've done some valid research.

Please show me in your first post the words "I researched". I read very well and those words are not in your first post which, is where my comments originated from.

First I would never order such crap as you have used in your posts. Id gladly pay good money for something that would last vs that junk.

Like I said, you want ebay please be my guest. Just because the junk you order is cheaper, does not mean that ebay is cheaper than lazada which I say again is the premise of your first post. Anyways its the seller and not either Lazada or ebay that makes things different.

I've purchased loads from Lazada, essentially kitted out my new home.

Biggest item was a chest freezer, smallest item was a SD card.

One item arrived 3 days late ....... that was my only complaint.

One item arrived and only worked one week ...... refund given within 3 days of reporting.

Emailed Friday morning, it's stopped working, instant reply send it to this address, Friday aft posted, Monday morning reply we got it and having it inspected, Monday aft reply money refunded.

So a satisfied customer here.

I go shopping with my Phablet, look at the price in the shop, then compare to the same model on Lazada, and buy from the cheapest.

By coincidence I have just this minute given the Lazada (Kerry Logistics) man a bollocking.

My order indicated a delivery date of 12-14 July.

Delivery man bowled up a few minutes ago. I bollocked him, saying "order not until sip song" and making a sort of carabao fist I put my hand to me ear and said "why you not call".

My missus (who had been cutting down a eucalyptus tree) took over and then noticed that she had 3 missed.

I finished up tipping 30 Baht! facepalm.gifwai.gif

Here is one for the Lazada fanboys, try this one.

Wireless keyboard combo Genius KB -8000X Sold & Fulfilled by LAZADA

http://www.lazada.co.th/genius-wireless-multimedia-keyboard-mouse-combo-kb-8000x-728333.html

Now look how the REAL Genius KB-8000X looks like

http://www.geniusnet.com/Genius/wSite/ct?xItem=60293&ctNode=137&mp=1

Do you see the difference? Hint : look at the batteries in the mouse.

And this is what Lazada is selling actually, but advertises as a higher grade model

^They have the same specs, not sure what your complaint is.

That is a weak argument Fanboy, because they don't have the same specs.

Major differences are the mouse from the X is 1200 Dpi while the standard is 1000 Dpi.

Another difference is that the X is spill free.

But there may be even other differences.

Do you really think Genius would make 2 identical keyboards, but give them a different part number and price them different?

No,they're both 1200. Only difference is the size. Nobody's going to make you shop at Lazada if you don't want to. Kind of strange to go to so much effort to discredit them.

Does this say 1200 Dpi or 1000 Dpi, as I don't have my reading glasses on?

May be you should have a look at the thread title again.

I just try to prove that they are NOT credible, as you and a select few others claim, or do you think that offering false advertised articles is legal?
