Thai singer makes all judges turn in The Voice Chile blind audition (VIDEO)

BANGKOK: -- A singer from Bangkok made all judges of The Voice Chile turn around with her charming voice in the blind audition for the show, which was broadcast on Sunday.

Patchara “Petch" Poonsawat, a former contestant on the Thai singing reality show “Academy Fantasia” in 2006, won the hearts of all the judges in the The Voice Chile when she sang a beautiful jazz version of Katy Perry’s“I Kissed a Girl.”

While Patchara was kicked out in the second week of the Thai singing competition, which is rumored to base eliminations on the contestants’ popularity, it looks like she has a much more promising future in the latest season of The Voice Chile where she will get to show off her talent.

There's LOT of talent in Thailand....Along with The Voice we'll watch Thailand's Got Talent - the talent & variety, along with the creativity is impressive + a great/feel good vibe with TGT

The Voice has the same formula in pretty much every country it's in

I wouldn't put too much stock in 'they made all the judges turn around'

Someone will come on and look the part or be semi famous already and *shock* no one turns around. It's really about their voice, you see, got to hammer that home!

Then someone will come on, one leg, two heads ... wow, everyone turned around cause it's not about looks, you guys, it's about the voice ... blah blah someone wins and human interest stories along the way

She needs some accent correction coaching. If she's going to sing in English, she should learn to pronounce English better. Probably in Spanish speaking Chile they don't find her atrocious pronunciation grating, so a good choice for venue.
