Hi all,

Just a quick question. Any advice much appreciated.

I'm expecting to sell my condo soon and then will be looking to exchange baht into pounds. Can anyone advise on the best/most economical way to do this? Take it in my hand luggage as cash? SWIFT? Other method?

And, more importantly, where can I get the best exchange rate?

Thanks again in advance.

In my opinion, the most convenient way would be a SWIFT transfer, and the first place to talk to would be your bank.

If you want to shop around outside the banking sector, it just so happens that another member is looking to sell pounds, but I cannot say whether he would be interested in a barter trade with you.

Personally, I would not feel comfortable travelling with a lot of cash in my pockets.
