Anyone know where to look for universal electronic motor in Bangkok? I am looking for a (not really small universal motor with 1/15 or 1/20 HP, 220V and RPM around 3000 - 5000.

Or does he need an Aircon motor? Well also those are sold in Chinatown but don't buy a cheap brand. They do sell cheap quality products there as well, for a motor i would only buy a big brandname product.

BKK needs a real big electro-market with ONLY elektro-stuff. And better not in Chinatown because the place is too crowded to travel to.

1.5A is about 330W, approaching 1/2 a HP, your OP said you wanted 1/15 or 1/20 HP, which is it?

Do you need to control the speed? I'm assuming from the fact you want a universal motor that you want to use a triac speed controller.

Yes, BanMo / Chinatown are basically the same area.

10 years ago i bought an aircon=fan motor with the scoopwheels. It run too fast so i bought a thai dimmer for 80 baht to let it run slower. Untill today it still works fine. It was a 3000 baht motor though.

But if i were you i would search on internet for the right motor and buy it. If you look on ebay.de you can find used qualitymotors very cheap. Those are industrial quality motors who will last forever.
