PATTAYA: -- A huge thunderstorm lasting over an hour last night has left parts of Pattaya flooded this morning with standing water failing to drain away adequately.

Areas affected are the two-hundred meter stretch in front of the Thai Namthip Company on Railway Road, parts of Kao Talo, the area around Soi Thammasamaggi Temple and around Pattaya Railway Station. Beach Road, in the area of Pattaya Police Station, is also flooded.

In some areas the standing water is close to one meter in depth.
