Police: Man, likely attacker, dies in explosion in Germany

BERLIN (AP) — Police in the southern German city of Ansbach said Monday a man was killed when an explosive device he was believed to be carrying went off near an open-air music festival, injuring 10 others.

Man kills woman with machete in Germany, is arrested

BERLIN (AP) — A Syrian man killed a woman with a machete and wounded two others Sunday outside a bus station in the southwestern German city of Reutlingen before being arrested. Police said there were no indications pointing to terrorism.

New anti-graft law to punish private sector for bribing govt officials

Bangladeshi boy, 10, murdered by fellow textile workers

PHUKET: -- My concerns over plastic pollution were stimulated anew by an excellent analysis in the China Daily called 'Drowning in Plastic', and also by the cover story in a recent edition of the Phuket Gazette in which a seasoned local fisherman expressed surprise at the decline in fish catches in our seas.

PATTAYA: -- At 1.30am, on the morning of July 23, Mr Teo Poh Yong, Malaysian tourist, made a statement at Pattaya’s Police Station to report he had met with a group of ladyboys, who befriended him on the WeChat App. He complained that whilst they were at the Baron Beach Hotel, Beach Road, Soi 9, Pattaya they had shot him with a Taser Gun and then robbed him of 18,000 baht. This crime was not reported to the media.
