English language A2 or B1 examination after October 2016 a pass certificate only valid for 2 years.

I contacted Trinity College who provide approved exams that UKVI will accept for visas, Leave to Remain and British Citizenship.

In preparation for a FLR application in November 2016 I enquired:

The examination for A2 or B1 Indefinite Leave to Remain ILR

(Settlement/Permanent)

Does a pass certificate have an expiry date or is it valid for life?

Trinity reply

If the exam is taken after April 2015 and in one of our SELT centres, then certificate is valid for immigration purposes for 2 years.

end reply.

As our ILR application will be 2.5 years after this FLR this means the Certificate will be out of date.

Does UKVI then require the English A2 or B1 to be taken again?

Thank you
