I wouldnt buy one of their boxes. I recommend an M8S+ http://www.lazada.co.th/m8splus-super-android-tv-box-quad-core-support-3d-4k-highperformance-speed-kodi-142-wifi-bluetooth-remote-control-smartiptv-7098277.html?boost=1

Not a top of the range android box but more than capable for what you need it for.

As I have no experience with Android boxes etc, may I ask why you wouldn´t buy the boxes directly from iviewHD? Is it purely because of the (high/higher) price or because of the devices´ technical specs and capabilities?

I will be away to KL this weekend but will closely watch this place here for updates on how "buffer-free" or not the live broadcasts of the numerous footy games were.

Definitely tempted to move to Android since ilikeHD despite the simplicity I like has become unwatchable for me. Shame, their pricing models and channel lineup is/was very attractive.

They will definitely take some business away from Thaiexpat and 365sports

Might effect 365Sport as most viewers want to see sport live and in HD, currently the big plus for Thaiexpat is their 10 day catch up service. Without catch up a lot of the UK channels will either be on Night Screen or Telly Shopping followed by glorious Day Time TV. OK if you are a fan of Bargain Hunt, Homes under the hammer etc..

My sentiments exactly , it is a pity they could not deliver their product as it has all that I need . I could not understand why sometimes it would be perfect and others stop , stop, stop , lets see how iview performs . I have been told that Kodi works well but not so easy to install on the Android box unless you are good on computers which I am not , also a pal bought a box with Kodi installed for 5000 baht and he says he can get everything for free in decent non buffering picture .

Can somebody help me in finding the differences in the channel lineup between these 2 offers from iviewHD?

http://iviewhd.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=146&products_id=416 for TBH 10,900

and

http://iviewhd.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=135&products_id=424 for TBH 12,000

please?

It seems to me that whatever package you buy on iviewHD you always get all the available channels so I wonder why there is a price difference of TBH 1,100 for the 2 packages above.

Thank you!

Re. iViewHD. Here's a channel listing for the apk (Android) service.

http://iviewhd.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=158_159&products_id=390

A lot of sports channels are listed but I'm dubious about them showing EPL this season as the list includes CTH Stadiums (in the IPTV Sports section) which has closed down.

If anyone can shed light on this please do so.

Installing Kodi is not that difficult..I'm pretty much a dunce with this sort of thing but was able to install Kodi on my Windows laptop with no problem and it works pretty well on my True ADSL line. I had less luck with an inexpensive Android Box.

The key is to search YouTube.  Just search "Kodi install" There are many videos available, some tailored to specific systems like Android or Windows or Mac.  Find a few of the most up to date videos and watch them, some are much better presentations than others...pick one that is easy for you to follow.  It should show you the initial setup and the "Fusion" "TVAddOns".  Make your own step-by-step notes.  All the more better if you can watch the video on another device while doing the installation, using "Pause" as you proceed through the steps. It is actually quite straightforward.

KODI is now available on the Google Play Store so no need to sideload it. I believe they are currently distributing version 17 "Krypton"  If you can find a video specific to installing V17, all the better.

If I were you I would buy an Android box from Lazada or somewhere.

Download the app and apply for the 3 day free trial.

If it suits you then subscribe for a month package.

I would not pay for a year before trying it first.

There is also the chance that they might not be around in 12 months time.

They are supposed to be adding new EPL channels.

I have just tried iviewhd and half the channels don"t even display and are buffering in the b/s and Kb/s when the working ones are Mb/s. My internet is stable.

In the 3 day trial everything worked fine. Any happy iviewhd customers out there? Zero feedback replies on their website.

As mentioned they are still displaying the CTH Stadium channels and I haven't seen any additional EPL channels.

I did the free trial with 365sport and I will take up their 3 month Premium package special offer for 999 baht and check on iviewhd 3 months down the line.

ilikeHD.com seem have added the BeInSport 1-4 channels to their channel list for the Thai Sport package which is available for just 150B a month. If only they didn´t have these horrible buffering problems. I mean, I signed signed up for this package as it only for a bottle of beer a month (depending on where you drink, lol) but even tonight with only the repeats going on on their TrueHD channels it keeps buffering or not playing at all. I doubt I will renew even at a price of a bottle of beer but we´ll see....

I have come to the conclusion that ilikedhdtv and iviewhd are the same company and you are correct "ilikehd" (without tv) is a different company.

The ilikehd.com guys have confirmed this to me too, ilikehdtv.tv is their reseller, who have chosen a rather confusing domain name, and are also resellers for another service under the iviewhd brand. So, they are just middlemen.

Seemed like a good service until tonight.

First game wasn't too bad until the last 10 mins until it became unwatchable. Checked my internet speed and it was fine. Even went on Kodi and the stream was better.

Tried to watch the 9pm game and couldn't find anything that worked decently.

Turned it on to soccer Saturday on sky sports 1 and the same then turned on to sky sports news and it was perfect.

It was 50 times worse than my worse experience on Ilikehd. Heading back to 365sports for tomorrow's games.

Just a quickie before I go to bed. Signed up for a month with iviewHD who said (quite rightly) that they had added the following EPL channels :-

MIO Stadium 1 ( EPL )
MIO Stadium 2 ( EPL )
MIO Stadium 3 ( EPL )
MIO Stadium 4 ( EPL )
MIO Stadium 5 ( EPL )
MIO Stadium 6 ( EPL )
MIO Stadium 7 ( EPL )
MIO Stadium 8 ( EPL )
Astro Super Sport 1 ( EPL )
Astro Super Sport 2 ( EPL )
Astro Super Sport 3 ( EPL )
K+ PM HD-Live1 (EPL)
K+ NS HD-Live2 (EPL)
K+ PC HD-Live3 (EPL)
K+ 1 HD-Live4 (EPL)
SkyNet-Live5 (EPL)

Their package (for android apk) is 600 bht per month.

All these channels have the word (Test) appended to them by the way, so in spite of the fact that these guys (and other companies supplying the same) have had time to prepare, IMO it's a damn poor show.

I watched Hull vs Leics on MIO Stadium 1 (Singapore). Continually buffering. Some of the other EPL channels (not mentioned above but labelled as such) were showing anything but EPL.

I switched to Sky Sports 1 and it was excellent up to the last 10 minutes or so when it froze. I couldn't watch the remainder of the game on any of the other EPL channels. (My internet is good and constant 100Mbps).

I'll give it a month then decide but for now it's pretty rotten.

On a good note - all UKTV (BBC, ITV, Sky etc) is HD and perfect, well it would be wouldn't it. It's when it comes to live sporting events that these companies go T1ts up !! Sorry for the language, but it just ******'s me off !!

I flicked through iviewhd (awful) ilikehd (OK) and 365sport (best viewing experience)

I know how you feel pal . You settle down to watch your sport and you are fed a bag of <deleted> . Are there any 100% legal companies out there who can deliver a comprehensive and reliable package of UK tv  . Paying premium fees would be worth considering for a decent service .

Sure, if you move back to the UK! :D I guess it's just some boring copyrights issues...

I was pretty disappointed with iLikeHD too tonight, turns out they don't have the new BeIN channels in English, and the other channels showing 9pm games were pretty unsteady :(

On the other hand, when I asked them about it, they said they're holding back on these, as it's the first time True is doing EPL since before CTH got the rights, but they plan to add them in the near future... fingers crossed...

Now, where should I watch Arsenal kick Liverpool's ass tomorrow? :D

Lots of chat about Kodi here:

re. the "Krypton" version, I'm running "Jarvis" but I think once you've installed a few add-ons, zips, repositories, etc, you can do it in your sleep!

PS. I hate the interface.

For what it is worth, these companies are not selling you television content per se. They are selling you their service of finding FREE content streaming on the internet and linking to it for you.

Kodi is essentially the same thing. Someone updates a list of links and kodi periodically sinks the link files with the added flexibility that you can setup many different files of links maintained by different people with different interests or primary focus. For instance, random movies, live tv, live sports, on demand movies etc.

My point here is that you don't need to pay someone to watch this stuff. If you want to pay someone to find and point you to free resources, I can understand that. Just be aware that with a small amount of extra effort you can open up FAR more diverse options and not be reliant  on a single source for your content, whether you use Kodi or learn where to find these streams yourself.

Now I've had a good nights sleep (dunno how), I'll add a few more of my thoughts minus the censored expletives.

Re. KODI. I've spent hours with it and have many Sports (and other) addons installed. But it all boils down to the same thing. When it comes to streaming live sports it's hit and miss. Other live streams can be very good and movies/TV series well, but it's not live - so it's fine.

I've spent literally the whole of a footy game searching for a stable (doesn't have to be HD) stream, only to stumble upon one 5 minutes before the final whistle. The same is true for the websites that specialise in live sports streaming of which there are many.

If you're a die-hard sports fan and you want perfect uninterrupted viewing then you have to go for the likes of Truevisions. There's a higher price tag but you're assured of the best possible picture with no buffering.

Me ?? I did a month with iLikeHD until they took off EPL which was previously included in the 600bht package. If things change I might go back to them.

On a related note, does anyone know why UK channels  never show any of those 9pm games? It's just weird! CTH spoiled me!

There was an embargo on UK TV showing the 3pm (UK) kick off's on the pretext that it might affect the attendances to these matches.

I have had exactly the same experience with Kodi...

I was in communication with iLikeHD last week regarding the EPL coverage. They said that when CTH were carrying it, there was minimum cost to to them, but now True are carrying it, their costs have increased. They will only be including it in the 2 World Sports packages at 250 and 450 baht (I think) extra. And because it is sourced in Thailand, it will be included in the Thai package (as they state in the flash message on their site)

They have no intention of including it in their UK package, as CTH Stadiums were.

You can watch the Sky Sports coverage, in the UK package, however, if you want to see all the 3pm UK kickoff's, you need to subscribe to a World Sports package, or the Thai package.

I must say that the Sky Sports 1 streaming of the Hull - Leicester match last night was very good, I think I remember only a couple of buffering incidents.

iLikeHD has to be the worst IPTV service on the internet.  All I ask is a reliable connection for BBC World news and CNN News.  They are incapable of providing that an any way that resembles reliability.  Even the 200 thb/month is a total rip off.  I would rather pay 400 thb/month for s service that is reliable.  Avoid this service as you would avoid the plague.

I agree, the last few days have been particularly bad. Stations missing/not running at all and those that were on were buffering so much that they were unwatchable.

Agreed. I find the links from DaHenchmen - Live Rio 2016 - are pretty good.

But tonight I was pleasantly surprised to hear the Ch 33 broadcast on Truevisons (top screen) has a couple of English commentators. Amazing Thailand.

The Kodi link was BBC coverage - left screen.
