driving license renewal, again

I need to renew my license. I have been told that Monday, Wednesday & Friday are for the issue of new licenses, Tuesday & Thursday are for renewals.

Is this correct?

While on the subject, can I renew my licence a month early as I will be back in Oz when it falls due?

i renewed mine a couple of weeks back, but sorry cannot remember exactly what day it was on. A quick phone call to the office will confirm that. You have to be there before 9am to get into that days registrations, then come back at 10 to start the procedure. After watching the video, then doing the reaction tests etc, I walked out of the door with renewed licence at 12.30pm, so no too bad. 640 baht i seem to remember. 

 

halloween, yes you can renew before the date it is due. Mine was due at the end of September and i did it at the end of July. I'm told you can renew 3 months before due date. The licences run toy your birthday, so you don't lose any time by going early.

 

PS : Don't forget, only long trousers, they won't let you do it in shorts.
