BANGKOK: -- The girl filmed naked by an angry wife after she was found in bed with her husband has gone to police to take action against the wife.

The video clip that shows the "sideline girl" tossed out of the condo without a thread of clothing has been shared right across social media. Thaivisa reported the story this morning. By Sunday there had been 73,000 shares of the video, reported Sanook.

The girl in the video - named only as "A", 24 - went to the Technology Crime Suppression Division police to register her complaint saying she had suffered a serious loss of face and reputation and wanted the matter pursued vigorously.

The complaint taken by TCSD officer Akhom Jampamoon said that the video was filmed on a mobile phone by "Nuch" (an assumed name) on 31st of July at 3am in the morning at a fancy Huay Kwang condominium.

The complaint alleges that "Nuch" sent the video to another person that led to it being shared throughout social media resulting in damage to the claimant's name and character.

The claimant had previously registered a complaint with Huay Kwang police, it was also noted.

The video in question caused a huge stir on social media with many people commenting on the content. Many posters sympathized with the naked "gik" and condemned the wife for her treatment of her saying she should have saved her wrath for her husband.

The condo in question had apparently been bought by the husband for his wife. It was reported that the wife has already dumped her cheating spouse.

Well, first off, the Thai legal system should learn the definition of the word "defame" which is damage the good reputation of (someone); slander or libel.

The girl is a prostitute.  Nobody damaged her good name.  She got caught being a prostitute.

This is why this country is so backwards.  Only in Thailand can you get video of someone doing something wrong or illegal and have them sue you for defamation.

How many politicians, police, etc pull this stunt whenever they got caught red handed and called out for their actions.  It is less of a crime to be a corrupt politician than it is to cause a corrupt politician to lose face.  Oh, the horror.

is she?

Where does it say that

This isn't the first story about the incident.  It's widely been reported that the husband booked her to come to the condo from a website that solicits prostitution.  Most stories refer to her as a "sideline girl" which is basically an order-in prostitute.

Prostitutes can suffer loss of face and damage to reputation. why not?

Explain how she was defamed.

She got caught banging some other woman's husband and the video of her being thrown out is posted online.

Defamation, which is what she's claimed, in most sane countries, requires the accuser to demonstrate that the alleged defamatory words, photos, video, etc be untrue.

Could her reputation be damaged?  Perhaps but in most countries that's not a crime.  That's like saying that if I have a CCTV in my business and I catch you stealing from my business, posting that video would make you the victim because your reputation was damaged.  You did it.  You have no defamation case because it's true.  But in Thailand you can claim that you lost face and suddenly you become a victim.

Believe me, the only reason the law works this way in Thailand is to protect corrupt politicians, cops, and government officials.

That condo will probably belong to the gik in a very short amount of time.  Defamation is a huge deal here.

Maybe she can kick the wife out naked then too.

Just not film it.

I get what you are saying, but what law did the sideline girl break?...... it's not like she stole anything material from the wife.

I am by no means fluent in Thai, but it sounded like she was verbally abused or whatever and then a record of that was published.

I hope ''A'' takes the woman who filmed and posted her for everything she's got and drives her into bankrupcy.

Netizens......what a bunch of #*@%$

Why?  Because she lost face?  Boo hoo.

I think a not insignificant number of people who caught their significant other in bed with someone else would kick them to the curb same as this girl did.

Now, we can debate all day long as to whether or not she should have been mad at her husband but she's well within her rights to kick a half-naked prostitute out the door.

But because in Thailand face means more than common sense, we're supposed to feel bad the wife allowed the video to be posted?

Why on earth should the wife suffer bankruptcy because she filmed something that actually happened???

That's not the argument you originally made.  Nice back tracking though.

By your definition is an escort also a prostitute? Many (including American lawmakers - I'm too lazy to dig through Thai laws) would argue differently.

I doubt that the Courts will be overly sympathetic to a prostitute being caught 'on the job' by a wife! :D

But as the video has made the news, and so possibly be considered as damaging Thailand's reputation, perhaps the Courts may be concerned about this as a reason to punish the wife?

Actually, I don't think any American law makers would disagree.  In fact, they bust escort rings in the US all the time.

Basically, if there is an offer to exchange sex for money, that's prostitution.  What makes it tricky with escort services is that the escort service only sends the girl to your room and charge you for the time so they avoid any pimping charges (most of the time).  In theory, whatever happens between you and the girl is between the two of you.

And many of the girls know where the legal lines are so they try very hard to suss out whether the customer is a cop or not and avoid making any sort of direct offer of sex for money.  But eventually, a negotiation has to take place and the second sex for cash is discussed that's when the other officers barge in and arrest the girls.

Good. I hope she gets one over on the wife. It is one thing to throw her out naked, but she broke the law in filming her exposed and spreading it online. Just nasty and vindictive. As to the bloke; what a weak dumbo... bringing another woman back to your digs.
