Back injuries are not usually treated by laser surgery, here or anywhere else in the world. Lasers are virtually useless in spinal surgery, if that is what you mean.

You need to specify what sort of back injury is involved and what "other stuff" you mean

Ok, it's a back problem I've had for a while but never as bad, I just bent over to pick something up and it was like someone sticking a knife into me, its on my lower back to the right so if you was looking directly at me it would be your left.

The main problem now is the injection the doctor gave me in my but 10 days ago, the pain in my thigh and kneecap is unbearable and the skin around my knee is numb the pain feels to be coming from my bones. It's eased a little today but still sore as hell. I've broke many bones but never had pain like this. What do you think happened?

I cannot be sure but from the limited information provided it sounds like you may  spinal stenosis (degenerative changes to the intravertebral disks leading to narrowing of the space between vertebra, common with age).

As to what happened when you bent over there are several possibilities: (1) a muscle spasm or ligament strain or (2) an intravertebral disk may have extruded putting pressure on a nerve. The first will resolve with time, medications and physical therapy (actually will resolve with time alone but the other two speed it up some) and the second often will as well though it depends on whether there is enough space remaining between the vertebra for the nerve root to exit after the extruded disk retracts.

In any case you need to see a good spinal specialist and probably have an MRI.

I suggest you try to see one of the following doctors through  the after hours clinic at KKU Hospital (Sirnagarind):

Dr. Thananit Sangkomkamhang

Dr. Somkid leardsinudom

Dr. Woraphot Wichan

It may help expedite things - and save time and money - if you get an MRI first at the following imaging center in KK http://www.mrithailand.com/index.php?modules=article&parent_id=2&id=11

Get lower spine without contrast and =bring the actual film with you (on CD or as a film) when you see the specialist at KKU Hospital
