Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday joined Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron to remind students taking next week’s national high school exams that cheating will not be tolerated. On a visit to Takeo province yesterday, Mr. Hun Sen told grade-12 students sitting the two-day exam to study hard and try their best.

“All students who have to take the exam next week must study hard. The one who knows will pass because it does not tolerate cheating at all. If you don’t know, you will fail the exam,” the prime minister said. Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron told students on Monday that this year’s exam was similar to that of the past two years and it would be very strict to ensure a legal, fair and transparent exam so results would be acceptable to all.

“I would like to call on all candidates who are grade-12 students to try and study hard and respect the regulations of the exam. It means not taking any documents into the testing centers and not bringing electronic devices such as mobile phones into the testing room,” he said. “If there are cases of violating the regulations, the candidates must automatically fail.”
