As you walk out of Tesco Lotus and turn left there's a blue Krungthai bank just on your right. Ten steps on there's the Twelve Victory Exchange on your left. It seems to be one baht or more better than the banks all the time on the UK pound. Admittedly when I tried to change baht back to pounds they had no pounds - or wouldn't give me them - but buying baht it seems very, very competitive. One baht is 2.22% = £22 in a thousand. Worth having.

There is a Gold shop at the Fountain Circle with good rates.
