HUA HIN: -- Police today said they have obtained video footages showing clearly three bomb suspects responsible for bomb attacks at Hua Hin.

The three were seen leaving the clock tower in front of Hua Hin temple before the bomb went off, and also at Talad Chatchai market.

They walked around to place bombs in Hua Hin town, the police said.

Police added that these perpetrators are still hiding in the country, and the police are closing in on them.

HUA HIN:-- Pictures from CCTV have appeared online that claim to be those of three Hua Hin bombers.

The pictures show three young men casually dressed with backpacks and baseball caps walking in the area of the Chatchai Market at the end of last week.

They appeared on the Facebook page of journalist Kulsawek Sawekwannakorn who provided the following information in hopes of catching the three.

He said they had got in a Prachuap to Phetchaburi minivan and had got out on the highway and entered a gas station in the Ron Thongchai area where they had changed clothes.

They had then had a coffee at a branch of Amazon at the gas station before getting on a Prachuap to Chumpon minivan heading south.

They are then believed to have crossed the border into a neighbouring country.

The report asked for online uses to call 191 if they have information about the three men. Thousands were sharing the pictures.

The man in the center of the police image is dressed the same as the man on the right above. White T-shirt, blue jeans with a hole at the left knee, black cap with white lettering. Comparing the other two men in the pictures, the man on the left has a black-sided cap same as the police picture, and the man in the middle has the same color pattern on his shoes, with both men having the matching color of their pants in both sets of pictures. The authorities probably have better pictures than the one they released.

With the recent passage of the new referendum, the government has seized even more power, and established a greater degree of censorship. Will we ever know the truth here? Will we ever know if the men they arrest are the real perpetrators? Will we see "Dark Tao" style justice again? Will this government ever be honest with it's people?

Thai police not post here

If they have clear photos of suspects why would they want to keep them secret ?   surely if they are dangerous criminals the photos should be circulated as widely as possible  so members of the public can help track them down.

The second set of photos are much clearer.

Note to self, never wear a backpack or you may be named as a suspected bomber on the run.

Also add to that not to have your special tourist sim card in your 'phone or you will become a suspect and will have to prove your innocence.

Typically the police (western) don't publish photos and not clear ones unless they need help from the public.  If they are on the trail they may not want to be flooded with information both helpful and not (which is less helpful overall).

Why don't the police release the cctv video?

Again, everything is taking too long. It's nearly a week old this bombing and still no concrete leads. It seems to me that the authorities are trying to slow down the progress in solving this case.

The longer the bombings go unsolved the more people think conspiracy theories. On such an important day and with tourists targeted you'd think that every cop on the beat would be looking for clues. Nope, brushed under the carpet like the Earwin Shrine bombing. All to deny that terrorism is alive and kicking in Thailands tourist areas. Money number 1.

Can we please keep this thread clean and no silly comments about how bad Thailand is.

The suspects clearly looks like locals to me. Wearing caps and a backpack is not something locals normally would do , so they tried to blend in.

What?  The referendum (it wasn't a 'new' one) was a vote regarding the new constitution, referendums don't get passed or go though a passage.  The government has no more power today than it did the day before the referendum neither has it imposed greater censorship.

What is "Dark Tao" justice?

No government is ever honest towards it's people.

The police haven't kept the pictures secret, you're reading about them on this re-published Thaivisa OP, that means that they have appeared on other media.  If they were secret you wouldn't know about them, would you?

There is no such thing as a special tourist SIM card.

Heaven forbid that you're suggesting that information from Thaivisa posters would be unhelpful!

Who said there are no leads?

Who said the authorities are trying to slow down the investigation?

Who said this is being brushed under the carpet like the Erawan shrine bombing (that wasn't brushed under the carpet)?

Apart from you, of course.

While you're laying down your rules for posts on this thread did it occur to you to not make daft comments?  Locals normally do not wear caps or backpacks?  What?  Since when? Caps and backpacks are almost required items as far as a lot of Thais are concerned.

Then you don't live in the same Thailand as me.

Of course they are not Thai, no Thai would ever perform any criminal activity. Only can be foreigners.

If they did as suggested above 'believed to have crossed the border into a neighbouring country', then passport  control should have their, mugshots and details including nationality,  name age and address I would have thought!
