Data Recovery

Featured Replies

I found this program great for data recovery.

it could recover my data after 1.5 year past of their deletion! :o:D

I have tried other programs such as O&O disk recovery, easy recovery, recover my files..but this one is the best:

Getdataback v.2.31

DOS had data recovery programs that could do the job, too, undelete and unformat. They do basically the same thing as the sophisticated programs. As for how far along you can recover the data, it just depends on whether you overwrite the data space or not. You could delete a file or format a disc and store the harddisk indefinitely and still be able to recover it using the most rudimentary tools (as long as the HDD still functioned).

HEY, VERY FOOD THREAT !!!

I faced this problems, very often and now stack with FileScavenger - it does all job for me. Long time ago we used Norton Tools.

What is your favorite now ?

p/s/ don't make remarks like "backup often" and similar

There are programmes around that will recover data, even if it has been overwritten.

They are used by the police and other unscrupulous organisations.

I use a data wiper that overwrites deleted files 7 times, in accordance with the US DOD standard, to make sure no-one can recover my old data. :o

'data', is that what you are calling it now. :D

All guys have lots of "data" files on their computer. Takes up loads of space, but it's certainly entertaining to "browse" said data.

I used easeus data recovery wizard to recover my repartitioned disk, and it missed no files. Great, isn't it?

If we look for data recovery software we find numerous. It depend upon us to decided which software we want to use to recover our data. After using the software then only one's gain the faith. I have used stellar Phoenix FAT & NTFS data recovery software. It has the ability to recover the data lost due to formated hard drive, software malfuntion, virus, and sabotage. This utility is read only and doesn't write anything on the disk while performing the recover. It also provides patition recovery from FAT 16, FAT 32 NTFS & NTFS5 file system. Demo can be downloaded from http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm

The demo scan the hard drive and shows the recovered data marked as 'deleted'. The best part of the demo is that we can save the scan result which can be used after we want to save the data by getting the full version, so there is no need to scan the hard drive again.

Look for a German product called Tiramisu.

It's dos based and will recover anything even bits and bytes without a format.

I used to use it to repair damaged partitions that would never mount.
