BANGKOK:-- Bangkok police have made a quick arrest of the man caught on CCTV last week vaulting a counter and threatening a bank employee with a gun.

He was the former owner of a TV and multi media production company who blamed the economy for turning to crime.

Kamphon Rujiwipusana, 36, from Wangburaphaphirom, Bangkok, was arrested on a warrant issued yesterday. Also taken into evidence was an automatic pistol and magazine and the clothes that were used in committing the crime.

The robbery of 430,000 baht took place at the Thanachart Bank branch in the Crystal Design Centre on Praditmanutham Road on August 11th.

Kamphon told police that  he was the owner of Aramjai-Production Co Ltd that was based in Ram Inthra Soi 109.

He produced TV programs but the poor economy meant he had no income and he decided to turn to crime.

Police are still looking for an accomplice that was the getaway driver.

Headline should read:    TV Producer stars in bank robbery production.

Another lucky criminal that gets the patronising hand on the shoulder routine.

Bankers are never down on their luck when they commit crimes yet they all go free.

JUst researching the plot for my new tv show, your honour.

Now he is the star of his own documentary

Maybe he can be casted in Fast and Furious 8?

....!@#$%^&* you......

...others* get cheated out of their life savings and have no recourse....

...you can get a job...no visa or work permit required.....

Nah... I think in this case, he LOST THE PLOT !

I did not know that the TV industry paid such a low wage for their producers.

My eyes get opened all the time as to how low wages are in Thailand for

careers that people in North America make them selves so very rich on.

It is the same for a lot of private industries, I think, so with the lousy economy

there may be even more people getting desperate. Good luck to this guy,

unless he gets to go to the nice prison, he will not like his life in the next

few months.

Geezer

Followed by a week as a monk or something similarly limp-wristed and everything will be forgiven and forgotten.

Why not show his face?
