Nong Khai launches manhunt for 10 Uighurs escaping from immigration detention centre

NONG KHAI: -- Police and local administration authorities in Nong Khai province launched an extensive dragnet for 10 Uighur adults after they broke open the detention centre at Nong Khai immigration office and escaped under heavy rains last night.

Court sentences three Democrats for defaming Yingluck over Four Seasons Hotel scandal

BANGKOK: -- The Appeals Court  today handed down a two-year suspended jail sentence and a 50,000 baht fine each on three former Democrat MPs for defaming former prime minister Ms Yingluck Shinawatra over the Four Season hotel scandal in 2012.

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — Philippine officials say a Saudi Arabian Airlines plane from Jeddah made a distress call Tuesday shortly before landing at Manila's airport and was placed in isolation after it touched down, but the flight crew later said they made a mistake in sending the emergency message.

Prayuth's brother defends lucrative army contracts awarded to son

AIS told to investigate claims of more phone usage leaks
