BANGKOK:-- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said on Sunday that the government has strictly complied with the law and legal proceedings in seeking compensation for loss incurred from the mismanagement of the rice pledging scheme.

Chirayu appointed secretary-general of the Bureau of the Royal Household

Mr Chirayu Israngkura na Ayudhya has been appointed the new secretary-general of the Bureau of the Royal Household succeeding Mr Kaewkwan Watcharothai who passed away recently.

 

Former industry minister in the government of General Prem Tinsulanonda, Mr Chirayu is director-general of the Crown Property Bureau.

 

In an announcement of the Prime Minister’s Office which was published in the Royal Gazette on Sunday, His Majesty the King issued a royal command, making eight other appointments in the Bureau of the Royal Household as follows:

 

ACM Sathitpong Sukvimon, deputy secretary-general for policy management and operations; Lt-Col Somchai Kanchamanee, deputy secretary-general for residential affairs; Pol Gen Chumpol Munmai, deputy secretary-general for security and special activities; Kwankaew Watcharothai, deputy secretary-general.

BANGKOK: - The Pheu Thai party voiced its objection against the use of Section 44 of the interim constitution to empower the Legal Execution Department to proceed with seizing the assets of those responsible for the rice pledging scheme in order to demand compensation for the loss from the scheme.

Suspect held over deadly US shopping mall shooting
