getting to Mae Ngat dam, recreation area

I am planning a tri to Mae Ngat, resevoir in Mae Taeng... I do not have a car... any suggestions for transortation there ? I know there are mini buses to Mae Taeng but I want to go directly to the lake.

A bit of net search leads to conclusion that song teaw is the normal mode to get there, anyone know the normal cost? and where best to hire one ..or should I just flag down a random one and ask if he can do?

It would end up being cheaper and more convenient to rent a car for a day or two and drive yourself...  

 

I would also go to Buatong Waterfall

Or if you are by yourself or with partner, rent a scooter. Its a nice ride out there.
