Lately I have been noticing this acronym being used and coming into fashion. For me it seems totally unnecessary to add the Q to LGBT. If the Q stands for queer it seems like an awkward attempt to reclaim the word queer from it's previous derogatory use. If it stands for questioning it just seems sort of odd. Anybody questioning falls under one of the other categories anyway. It seems to be a tad contrived and appears to be over compensating to me. What do other people think of it? Does this make the community more inclusive or is it just silly? I don't feel that strongly about it but the Q appears to be a solution that was looking for a problem and just makes the acronym weird.

Pretty soon that acronym will likely contain half the alphabet.

You are homophobic or at least against the Q

So some would have you believe.

I would be completely on board if it was LGBTAQ and H.

Because if they also included Hetero then they really would be telling the truth when they say they want equal rights for all.

You see him here, you see him there, .. he's a dedicated foĺlower of fashion. Personally, I don't see what all the fuss is about. The gay agenda has pretty much been won in the Western world. It's all about trans now.

Could be. I just roll with the flow. I read somewhere it now has an "A".

I have found its easier to just nod your head in agreement and smile and don't ask questions.

Kind of like a buddy of mine deals with his demanding wife.
