MAE SOT: -- Nok Air's flight DD8125 to Bangkok was forced to land at Mae Sot airport yesterday afternoon, 10 minutes after takeoff.

The plane took off from Mae Sot at 5 pm but after it was airborne for 10 minutes, there was a loud bang in the passenger cabin, initially from faulty cabin air system.

Following the loud bang, the captain then announced through the plane speakers advising all passengers to return to their seats and fasten their seat belts.

There was no further explanation from the captain.

And recently found a report that they are the most unpunctual in the country and received a warning.

I once flew involuntarily with them and that should be enough.

Well they landed safe and sound without any further incident, so good call.

Flight path attached.

You see the landing coming in from Bangkok, and the following take-off. Couple of circuits later it landed again.

Not even close. Yes, there are plenty of safety concerns surrounding Nok, and I don't fly them myself if I can help it (though not safety reasons). But in their 12 years of operation they've had zero fatalities and zero serious injuries. Better than a whole lot of other airlines.

complete nonsense. They never had an accident in all their years of operations (unlike, for example, the "Boutique" Airline Bangkok Air). on-time performance is another story, though. poor management with the CEO more busy with his social media accounts than actually leading the company in a proper way

If this had happened on a large aircraft you would not even know it had happened,    just a red light in the cabin

aircon default.

All procedures followed & a safe landing.

I have not heard of Nok having any serious issues.... Please enlighten me if I am wrong
