Anyone keen to hike mountains in first quarter of 2017?

Featured Replies

Hi! I'm interested in hiking a mountain early next year maybe in February/March. It will be my first time and I've done some research and found out that Doi Langka is a nice place for great mountain views. I'm open to going to any other mountains too as long as there is a nice view as shown in the photo! Is anyone interested in doing so? Maybe we could go together!

I would suggest going January / early February - the burning season starts around and of Feb / early March so your views will be obscured

I'd recommend Doi Luang(?) in Chiang Dao - 3rd tallest mountain in Thailand as I understand it

You'll need to book as only limited numbers can visit - also you'll be staying overnight in a tent

i found it a little challenging as I wasn't in the best shape at the time but the views are stunning

Just to confirm, the OP's photo is NOT of Doi Lanka, but seems to be somewhere in Taiwan. Lots of nice mountains in N Thailand.

Yesss!! Which mountain is this!? How long did you take to hike up and is it very tough?

Not a tough hike, but quite a journey to get to the trailhead.
