Gold jewelry is just as easy to sell and prefered by Thais for gold investment.

If here is Thailand, yes you can at the bigger shops. 965 bars are available in 1,2,3,5,10,25 and 100 Baht weights and have the smallest premium over spot compared with jewelry but both forms are extremely liquid here in LOS.

I think you'll find they're both equally easy to trade in Thailand. Gold is not as easy to trade in many Western nations because it is considered the same as cash and transactions much be reported. There is also limits on how much you can carry through customs.
