BANGKOK: -- Samut Prakarn hospital has lost the corpse of a baby born to a mother prematurely.

When the mother went to get the baby from the morgue the staff had to admit it had disappeared, reports Thairath.

An investigation is underway to try and find who removed the baby.

The mother - named only as A - went with her elder brother Suthirat Rangklang, 32,  to the hospital to pick up the child that had been born at home in Ban Nai on October 5th.

Born at only 6 and a half months they had taken the child to hospital where it was found to be breathing. It was put in an incubator but died from heart failure two days later.

But yesterday when they arrived with a coffin there was no child to put in it. They were not happy with the lack of explanation from the morgue and went straight to Samut Prakarn police amid fears that the child had been stolen for its value in conducting occult ceremonies.

Yesterday relatives met the hospital director Dr Samphan Khomrit who said that a full investigation is underway and that the hospital are cooperating with police. He said that the child's body was definitely there on Monday but by Tuesday it had gone.

All staff are being checked to see if it is an inside job but he said that he suspected that someone had come in from outside to steal the body.

The director said this was the first time such a thing had happened at the hospital.

Of course, the hospital director suspects somebody from outside...

And that outside somebody knew about the baby from an inside somebody, maybe?

What do you expect when you try keep the people thinking that ghosts exist and that monks help you soul

Samut Prakarn hospital is now investigating into the mystery surrounding the missing of the body of a premature baby after the family has filed a complaint with the police.

The complaint was lodged with Samut Prakarn police by the mother after she could not retrieve the body of dead premature baby.

According to her brother Suthirat Wangklang, her sister prematurely delivered her six-month old  baby on October 5 at the hospital.

But the baby girl died two days afterwards from what nurses said from heart failure.

Her sister then came to retrieve the body for religious ceremony but was told the body was not at hospital.

Hospital director Dr Samphan Komrit said it was still not known how the body went missing from the hospital mortuary.

...sold.....

...it did not just disappear.....

...that implies someone at the hospital was in on it....

...otherwise how would anyone know it even existed....

...scoundrels that get away with anything....and then plead ignorance or innocence...nobody to blame....
