There is no such thing as a retirement visa and the nearest equivalent would be an O-A(long stay) visa which can only be obtained from your home country or country of legal residence. BritTim Posted October 19, 2016 Share Posted October 19, 2016 A reasonable assumption is that the OP wants to know how to stay long-term in Thailand as a retiree, and wants to know if there are agents in the Pattaya area who can facilitate the process. What the OP ultimately wants is an extension of stay on the basis of retirement. This is applied for each year and allows a 12 month stay in Thailand. There must be 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account, or income certified by your embassy to the amount of 65,000 baht per month. Before applying for the first extension, you must enter Thailand on a Non Immigrant Visa . With proof of 800,000 baht in the bank or 65,000 baht a month income (as for the extension) a single entry Non Imm O visa is easily acquired from various consulates in neighboring countries. There are a number of agents in the Pattaya area, some legitimate and others rather shady. You may receive private messages from other members with recommendations. I have no experience with Pattaya agents, so cannot suggest a good one.
