I am considering purchasing a portable spa from global house...the models look ok, but they are made in China.  Has anyone owned a portable spa in Thailand?  Pros and cons?  How do they hold up? The cost ranges from 60,000 to 300,000.  I'm thinking of a smaller spa, for 2 or 3 people, in the 60,000 to 80,000 THB range.  Thanks for your thoughts.

No I haven't owned one, but i presume they are fiberglass...which could be a problem.

Unless they do the fiberglass process correctly, you can get problems.

I had a fiberglass pool in Aus that developed bubbles in the fiberglass. Had people explain that the problem was due to the fibreglass process.

So how do you check quality control of fiberglass from China.

That said I checked a couple of years ago at the house, now second owner since i sold it, and it had just started to leak...probably 30 years.

So could still use it, but didn't look real flash.

Thank you...I know nothing about the process to make a spa, but 30 years seems pretty reasonable...at least I'll be gone long before any real problems arise...I'm surprised there is no Thai spa makers here...take care

Probably no demand ....but that will change. Why have a home spar when you can go out to a sauna and spar and even get a sauna and spar as well?

My friend and I were drinking near the Nana Plaza in Bangkok, just opposite this barber shop with these beautiful, sexy dressed girls in it, we were wondering if you could get a haircut there as well. [emoji38]
