Security - Fake Sites?

Featured Replies

I have a question about 'security'.

I'm visiting Chiang Mai,have been here for about a month and some of the sites I use for my business, like PayPal and this one (https://www.change.org) always get diverted into a Thai language version with no apparent way to switch to English.

Are these fake sites?

Thanks for any clues.

Many sites sense where you are from your IP address and assume you want local language.

For PayPal try forcing your browser to go here https://www.paypal.com/signin?country.x=TH&locale.x=en_TH

Change.org has the language change drop-down right at the bottom right of the page, scroll all the way down.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

The site is not IP sensitive but obviously dependent on some language setting on device or browser.

I am diverted to German language version (with my normal Thai IP).

Something is "wrong" with language settings at your device/browser.

As already written: the manual language selection for this site is on the lower right.

Just scroll/look down.

Should look like this (or similar) at your device as seen below.

But better investigate your language settings as other sites might show similar behavior.
