Curry leaf tree's

Featured Replies

Hi, just wondering if anybody has or has bought curry leaf tree's in Thailand.

it would be very much appreciated if somebody could give advice as to where to buy them and maybe a price.

Thank you very much.

Kyri.

I have posted already on this; the trees or rather shrubs, grow wild, at least in the Hua Hin region.  Nurseries don't as a rule stock them as they're not generally used in Thai cooking; they are however used in some Indian recipes.

I know where there are some plants growing wild (nr. Hua Hin) and dug up the one I have growing in my garden from there.

Message me if you wish to do the same - Piers

I wish i could have a go at these , but i live in Surin Issan near the cambodia border a long way from Hua Hin..

Could you post one or two up and at what cost...worth a try

regards

I am in Buriram; have seedlings and mature trees.

After the New Year you can pick some  up, I am now overseas.

I showed the photo above to my wife and she said that leaf is used to make Laap and some other The leaf from the vine below is the one she uses for curry.  Could just be a local thing though.

I have not seen them but they are available if you are anywhere in the South and can make a trip to Penang....it cost me about 150 baht for a small plant...

Best regards
