A new museum has opened up in Buenos Aires, in Argentina, dedicated to the football great Diego Maradona.

It is set in the house where the World Cup star lived as a teenager.

“The house of God” – as it has been nicknamed – shows off more than two thousand intimate and personal items of the former Argentina captain and national team coach.

The former manager of the Argentinos Juniors team, where Maradona signed his first contract, restored the home.

Downstairs, visitors can sit at the kitchen table he shared with his family, while on the upper floor another of the museum’s highlights is the bedroom where Maradona rested.

For now, it is only open to the public on weekends, but the owners say they plan to extend the opening hours in the future.
