Creepy cabbie arrested for hitting on passenger, refusing to let her exit vehicle

BANGKOK: -- A taxi driver has been arrested following a viral video of him “flirting” with an uncomfortable female passenger in the backseat and allegedly refusing to let her leave the car.

 

Cabbie Sathaporn Tao-iam, 43, was caught outside a shopping mall in Rangsit on Saturday. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

 

An arrest warrant for Sathaporn was issued after a 21-year-old college student, Chulalak Chamsakorn, posted a video of her encounter with him where he asked for her phone number and commented on her appearance when she rode in his taxi on Oct. 25, Thairath reported.

Considering the case,what would have happened,if the lady had a guy waiting for her at the end of the ride? She tells the guy who gets infuriated and,understandably,gives the sherbet dab driver a slap? Or in the case of he being a young Thaiman,shoots the guy?

One of the benefits of being old (76) and far from handsome, I'm rarely hit up by Taxi drivers, most bar ladies and even the make believe bar 'ladies'. Old age does have it's benefits.

Congrats to Chulaluk for her quick-thinking in recording and reporting the incident.  Needed courage to do so, and it's a shame that reprehensible offensive behaviour towards females is tolerated and, often, so easily forgiven or excused.

If the farang were driving a taxi in BKK looking for sex, I imagine not very well...but I'm guessing most punters go to bars, and have the modicum of decency not to harass every woman that crosses his path...
