Dear Knowledgeable Members,

I have recently had my passport expire and have since obtained a new passport from the Australian Embassy. When trying to complete the Online 90 Day Reporting, the form can no longer be processed it is no longer working and the usual "Please contact your immigration branch" message appears. Whereas previous to the new passport 90 Day Online Reporting was working fine.

I mentioned this to the immigration officer at Chaeng Wattana on my previous visit with the new passport and she informed me that the passport and entry card details were now updated and I have a new barcode and I would also be able to submit the 90 Day report online next time. Well, next time is here and it still will not process.

My question is has anyone else with a newly issued passport, who has NOT left the country and re-entered successfully complete a 90 Day online report?

The system has been down for a number of weeks. Its nothing to do with you or your new passport. It's the usual incompetence. You will need to go in person, or have someone go for you, seven days before or after your due date...

I used it successfully last Sunday (processed Monday)

With a new passport the advice always seems to have been make the first report in person.

You were given some incorrect info. The only way you will be able to do a online report is to leave and re-enter the country to get a new entry.

The database the system accesses only has info for entries to the country. It cannot be updated without new entry being done using a your new passport.

It has not been down that long. I just went on the site before writing this.

Mine is due mid Dec, the system is likely to be down for that 7 day window that I will have to submit my application.

I got a new U.S. passport in June 2015 and had my visa data transferred at Chaemg watana, using the data change letter from the U.S. embessy ( suuplied with my new U.S. passport)

While I was there in CW I was seated where I could see into the immigration office areas.

I saw my new U.S.  passport  processed, and a woman in the immigration entered my new passport number and visa details into the immigration database from my new passport.

I do not have to do 90 day reporting however, so i can not say for sure if 90  day reporting would work for me.

However, if you get a new passport in Bangkok, and take the embessy letter to CW, they do enter the name, number, and date for your new passport into the immigration database.

I would guess that the reason  90 day reporting does not work for you is that the data from your new passport was not rntered or entered incorrectly.

That is why the 90 reporting system fails to recognise your new passport and generates an error teling you to report to your imigration office.

For whatever reason, the data in thrir database is not correspond with your new passport data.

The update the main immigration database but not the one online reporting accesses. As I wrote before it is one that only has info from the a recent entry to the country.
