dru2
Northern Thai temples traditionally have a decorative candelabrum or satthaban. One can sometimes also see a votive tablet stand, usually in wood, with niches for rows of multiple Buddha images. Has anyone any idea what the latter are called in Thai or Northern Thai? Many thanks - Dru

dru2
You are, of course, quite right. Trouble is, I have been unable to find an image on Google image search. But I'll try again...
rebo
In case you mean something like this (very often in red and golden colours): You'll find it even in DIY malls like DoHome but in any case in Ban Thawai. The one on the pic I made by myself. The second pic I found googling for Thai Buddhist altar; these are the most common ones you find mostly in the shops. You should also have a look into the Buddhist supply shops e.g. at Warorot area. Edited November 8, 2016 by rebo
