Anyone know where to find an Olympic dive pool in Pattaya?

Featured Replies

The type where you have 5 and 10 metres high platforms to jump from. I'm based in Bangkok so I've been doing my research online, but to no avail :(

Never heard of such a place in Pattaya

I would have thought if anywhere would have what you want it would be in Bangkok,    Bangkok is everything in Thailand.

I once read of a place at Ramkhamhaeng University in eastern Bangkok. Same place as the main football stadium.

You might try the various universities.  In Bangkok the Kasetsart University Pool had/has? such a diving pool so possibly others do as well. Good luck.

Balcony diving is a much more popular sport in BKK.  Even with a pool, learning how to do flips is a painful learning curve.  Eliminating the pool means you only are in pain once, 555

The depth of a pool for a 5m board is recommended at least 4m and at least 5m for a 10m board.

This would be a specialist pool, most resort pools are from 1m to 2m in depth and do not have diving boards.

There are a few locations on one or two of the Far Islands where I have seen "Tombstoning" done but I would not recommend it.

Yes there is one not far from Pattaya, head south down to Bangsarah. Pass Bangsarah go under the pedestrian foot bridge, then travel under one more foot Bridge and take an immediate right onto the Military base.  The base has diving pool I think if memory serves me with two platforms. It also has a wonderful 50 meter lap pool. I was told for a nominal fee the public could use it. Hope this helpful.

I was in a cast making a TV commercial about five years ago.  We shot at a university in the Pattaya area with a huge pool/athletic complex. I do recall a high diving platform and high boards.  Sorry, didn't ever get the name of the location but some Googling of local Uni's should reveal it.
