Petchburi creating new ad campaign to attract Japanese visitors

BANGKOK, 16 November 2016 (NNT) – Petchburi’s Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) office has made known its focus will be on traditional Thai experiences and local experiences.

TAT Petchburi director Akkrawit Thepphasith has made known the TAT’s national policy is to promote local experiences and traditional Thai lifestyles and that his office has been tapped to promote visits by Japanese travelers.

The office worked with a private company to create 3 advertisements featuring popular local celebrities as well as Japanese performers for its mission. The ads follow a lost Japanese tourist in Petchburi who is helped by a generous local Thai man. The series has been titled “Falling in Love with Petchburi”.

The office is also seeking to attract Thai travelers by promoting routes taken by His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
