I want to let you know about a site : http://www.ip-tv.tv that allows to watch all Thai TV channels on your PC via the net. It is not free, although the links on the main page allow you to try it before you become a member. Also, the links that say 56k on page http://www.ip-tv.tv/tv/ allow you to watch live TV for free, but at a much lower quality that Ondemand programs.

It works from anywhere in the world. I am in Canada, have been using it since March 2002 and I am very satisfied with their service.

I am not affiliated with them, but I am so impressed with their

product that I want to share it with Thai people who are away from Thailand. You get about the same picture quality as Thai TV Global Network but do not need a satellite dish.

You need :

1-To read Thai in order to understand the links

2-Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player installed on your PC

3-A broadband connection (Cable or ADSL) with at least 256 Kbps download speed

4-To subscribe online as an "ON-DEMAND" member for 39.99 $ US per month (or less if you subscribe for longer terms).

You get all pre-recorded programs (kept online for many months) on all channels(3, 5, 7, 9, 11, ITV) that you can watch WHEN YOU WANT. You can watch them full screen and if you have a TV out on your Video card, you can view them on your TV. Here is an example of what is available today on channel 7 :

The highlighted links are clickable and make Windows Media Player start to play the program. (To view the videos from that page, you must be a member).

Please let you Thai friends who have a fast Internet connection know about this !

Thanks George!  This is especially interesting for me because, I love,

* Internet related things

* TV

* Internet TV

* And of course, Thai culture

And I saw a great Japanese singer on Thai TV called Hikaru Utada (nickname Hikki) on Thai TV which completely blew my mind, she's just so great, and so very talented.  Does anyone know who has subscribed to this, if they play any more Japanese music?

This is the link directly to the "Test View", which does'nt work with Mozilla :-(  You also have to change the protocol to HTTP.

BBC1/2 is not fed onto the web, however BBC News 24 "live" was fed onto the web for a short time in high quality, which they've taken offline.  I don't know if this was because it was too popular and ate too much bandwidth, or was just there for the war news coverage, or perhaps was just an experiment.

Anyway, the good news is that you can watch the BBC News 24, latest headlines.

I'm waiting for Sky News to go online, it must surely happen soon when CNN, FoxNews etc are online.

For those interested, there are also several Thai radio stations available on the net.

Regards
