I am posting this for a friend:

He was deported after going to the US embassy to collect his new passport. Long story short, traffic ticket in the US 13 years old issue. Got deported after about 2 weeks in immigration BKK.

Judge throws out the case in USA. Guy is free.

Blacklisted in Thailand for 100 years...verified twice.

Kasikorn is of no help. Expired atm card...he has to be in Thailand to claim his money.

Any experience with power of attorney for a similar banking issue?

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the long story was made really, really short.

5. Is there any way my passport application can be denied or rejected?

Passport applications may be denied or rejected for several reasons. The most common reason is missing the necessary documents - if the Birth Certificate (when required), the Letter of Authorization, proper photographs, correct fee, or the itinerary are missing. Also, passports will be denied for the following reasons: outstanding child support, outstanding felony/criminal warrant (not including civil infractions or parking tickets), or prior felony conviction that prohibits international travel. Please be advised that the Department of State has the right to request additional documents at their discretion.

More details from Dept of Stateregarding passport denial regarding criminal offences/warrants:

Plus, if the traffic ticket resulted in an arrest warrant and it happened 13 years ago "and since  a U.S. passport is only good for 10 years" seems warrant would have been issued more than 10 years ago...probably closer to 12.5 years ago which means his last passport may be been denied.  You sure you are not saying that while trying to renew his passport (which may have been long expired) he got picked up my Thai immigration due to no passport and/or long overstay.    Just sounds like his story got really, really short.
