January 15, 20188 yr UPDATE on Pattaya Beach Books - 15-Jan-2018 Finally managed to speak to Mike, the erstwhile owner of PBB. Apparently he's moving up-country permanently and would like to sell his books for 180,000 Baht. He might accept sensible offers. As he’s not on the ’net at present, he’s asked me to suggest people call him. If you PM me, I'll forward details. Mods: hope this is OK - this is not a business but just me doing a favour for an old mate.
January 15, 20188 yr Author Glad to hear that he's OK. I just hope somebody buys them and they are as good as running a book shop as he was.

January 18, 20188 yr There is DK Book Mart just off Beach Road on Klang. They have English and German second hand books for sale. Not an enormous choice or range but you should be able to find something.

The reason I didn't recall it earlier, is that it sells mainly new books and they're quite expensive, as are their second hand ones. As you rightly say, they don't have a massive selection. The other shops being discussed in this thread are actual second-hand book shops, some of which do (or did) part-exchanges. Edited January 18, 20188 yr by VBF
January 18, 20188 yr Yes, book exchanges are thin on the ground. I miss a good library. I would patronise one but I think it would need to run on a commercial basis here.
