It's outrageous at least £272m has been spent to convert the site for use as a Premier League ground but the club have contributed only £15m.

Maybe they supplied Boris with a lifetime's supply of porn. wink.png

Horrid, horrid little club.

They are a second/third tier club who have had a decent season.

Can't wait for the day they are back where they belong and playing

in front of 10,000.

Horrible venue long soulless walk through shopping centre and

awful view in the cheaper seats........get the binoculars out. The

fans used to the closeness of the game at Upton Park are in for

the shock of a lifetime.

It's nothing like the new Premiership grounds.

Yes nothing to match the hugely impressive Tommy Johnston stand with its incredible 1336 capacity.

Not forgetting the immense North Family stand with a staggering 1381 capacity.

And who could forget the sublime East Stand with a ground breaking 3636 capacity.

Sour grapes fella.

Small club like this should have been sent to Milton Keynes.

And as for signing songs about blowing Michael Jackson's pet monkey...well its just rude.

And, Payet off in the summer and the usual relegation battle next season. thumbsup.gif

It will be "impossible" to recreate the Upton Park atmosphere and make the Olympic Stadium a "fortress", says West Ham manager Slaven Bilic.

The Hammers play their final competitive game at their 112-year home against Manchester United on Tuesday.

West Ham will move to the 60,000-capacity London 2012 Olympics venue next season.

"You need to have a hostile atmosphere, be intimidating for away teams. Forget about it - no chance," said Bilic.

"They are a second/third tier club who have had a decent season."

Obviously don't want to get involved in this southern / cockeynee love in, but from my northern perspective and following football from the late 60's, if I had to pick a list of teams who I thought were the old Div 1 / Premier league main teams, WHU would definitely be in it.

WHU, back when I was an impressionable age, were my favourite london team, could be cause of Greaves (his debut goal in one of my earliest games at Maine Road), could be because of the 3 world cup winners, could be because of Billy Bonds who I greatly admired. Think you'll find a lot of City fans of a certain era have a soft spot for WHU.

I know you are at the high end of the league Carms but further down there is a battle going on and we need the hammers to do us a massive favour.

You'd think considering the occasion, circumstances and their recent debacle at Spurs, United would have a plan to avoid this situation, turning up an hour or 2 earlier.
