Demolition of the Ratchayothin flyover has begun and both Ratchadaphisek Road and Phahon Yothin Road have been at a standstill all day.

On the outbound side of  Phahon Yothin Road, traffic was jammed last night for eight kilometers, starting at Ratchayothin intersection and remaining congested as far back as Saphan Khwai intersection at rush hour.

Due to increased congestion, police are suggesting that people avoid: Lat Phrao Road, Lat Phrao-Wang Hin Road, Chokchai 4 Road, Sutthisan Road, Kaset-Nawamin Road and Vibhavadi Rangsit Road as well as Srirat Expressway.

So Pahon Yothin and Ratchada are OK?  Basically, If you live in areas bound by these roads, or heaven forbid, they are the only path between your location and desired destination, please stay home.

Thailand. The land of self-inflicted wounds. Whoa. Love this place, but had to divorce logic to get there.

I bet if you drive along the qeueu on a motocy you'll see a taxi parked on one lane or somchai unloading his deliverytruck. Maybe somying is trying to park her big camry but she can't fit it in so takes 6 attempts.

Most of the time congestion is caused by a selfish person or one who shouldn't drive a car.
