Poll says majority of Thais didn’t read draft Constitution

Featured Replies

What constitution?  Do they mean the draft charter that came about a few months ago?  People were discouraged if not prohibited from discussing any of this, so even asking to get it probably was a dicey proposition.  WIth a military coup and dictatorship in place, is there even anything that would count as a constitution?  Does it matter?  Every constitution has been thrown out by the next coup, so the paper has little meaning.  Something that is routinely tossed aside, suspended, etc. doesn't have much meaning.  With no courts ruling on the constitutional validity of laws, the laws on the books or the rulings of courts or judges don't have much meaning.
