Police are listed and they did do mine, not in Thailand though. If you have kids at school go to the principal otherwise a doctor is easy. The list is posted above.

Just because they are on the list they do not have to sign it.  You may have to shop around but I am sure you will find someone.  If you have trouble I think a phone call to the embassy would put you on the right track.

As happens many times with posters needing help you don't say where you are.

If you still have a lot of aggro ask someone at  " Home County forum "  UK pensions as there are TV members like myself who can sign such things including the " Proof of Life " form.

Doctor, bank manager, teacher, notary public etc... can do it, the witnesses are listed on the Irish Embassy website links.

 

Some time ago, a witness was supposed to have known you for 10 years and thankfully I think that requirement has been eased.

 The Irish one is a small list unlike the UK passport one.
