Special thanks to Pornchai from scv-plastic for welding the pondliner

Hi Hannes

Is it possible get in contact with Pornchai, SCV Plastic?

BTW - impressive waterfall....is the pumphouse hidden in the "mountain"?

And what about filtration in the plant area? I didn,t see any underlying drain piping in your video.

I would LOVE to more specifics...

What size, cost to construct, etc.

Anything to be particularly careful about?

Looks very nice, hope you have filteration, my koi pond went green in about two weeks, like pea soup.

I just wait for rainy season........then the whole neighborhood is like a natural swimming pool.....

Cheers

Most people don't consider plastic "natural".

A natural pool would be lined with clay and/or rocks. ?

As with the other replies, it would be nice to have an idea of total cost of the build and whether or not there is any filtration, which I consider has to be a "must have" when considering the amount of daily sun.  A p[ea green pond is not an option.

My eyes are not as good as they were, I thought the "waterfall" was a water slide...which would be a good idea too. I'd be always nervous about getting a tear in the PVC though, what a headache that would be, especially as men seem less concerned about cutting their toe nails than the "gentler" sex. 55

I am just wondering if it wouldn't cost about the same just to put mortar and tiles rather than that plastic thing?

Natural swimming pool ?

Are you serious ? or do you enjoy cavorting in the water with all kinds of ugly things that will eat you alive.

I am of course referring to the numerous snakes, frogs, insects and water borne parasite,s that would abound in such an environment.

You are a braver man than me - for sure

The pools from discoverychannel have 2 basins, one as filter which are plants and the other is for swimming. Water flows through both nonstop.

I hope the dog won't ruin the plastic. I would have gone for tiles myself. Or just concrete if it had to be cheap..concrete can also have color mixed in before it's poured.

Watch at 55 seconds to see how he did it, interesting ! but cannot find more info and it's not in English:

  • 1 month later...

I just switched from a traditional chlorine pool to a company that does a "bio" treatment. They don't really tell what they pour in the pool, but I'm impressed with the result so far. Very smooth water, no more chlorine smell.

We put now some small fish in the water, will report back how this turned out..

I read up on the Internet about bio pools as described here with a two pool system. One large one for swimming and a small one for the filtration. Would it be possible to add this to a normal pool?

Sent from my ASUS_Z00LD using Thaivisa Connect mobile app

Sounds very similar to the filtration I have on my fish tank.

Google fish tank filters of the " wet / dry " or " sump "varieties and see if this is similar.

You can get rid of the Clorine / Cloramine with Aquarium use products

120 B for 200 Ml

The " Bio " treatment could also be an Aquarium product that is used to " seed " a filtration system safely

All a little technical even for many that keep fish
