Gosh, I hadn't noticed.

with sarcasm like that I am disappointed I won't have the pleasure of spending Christmas lunch with you. ?

A very Frank Sinatra Christmas to you and everyone else particularly my good pal E/S ?

Wants menu's, locations and prices.... why not samples of the food from each as well!

All the hotels are offering Xmas lunch/dinner, pick the one that takes your fancy and suits your pocketbook. Rattilanna is a whopping 3,990, Shangrila is about 2,500, simply google the hotels and check their web sites.

Just asking as I won't be flying in until 24th so a tight schedule.  Didn't realise I was asking for too much.  I prefer people's recommemdations than just googling as last time I checked google didn't give me an opinion ?

Normally you are a very helpful contributor. Are you feeling ok today? ?

can't he also be a chef at one? or is being the owner mutually exclusive so he cannot cook too?

A Friday, 23 Dec, noon Christmas feed at Sausage King.  A variety of tasty food, on 3 courses, on offer at baht 499.  Must book and give 250 baht deposit.

I'm looking for a 'walk-in' meal on Sunday.  Maybe Pun-Pun.

Do you wanna go upmarket for Xmas? The Panmivan in Mae Rim has discounted their last room for Christmas Eve, it's now only 81,000 baht on Agoda but it includes breakfast and no, it doesn't include dinner on Xmas Eve!

Thailand is great value up to a point...when they start to offer high pricing unfortunately their service doesn't rise to that luxury expected level when one is dishing out a $100 a meal or $300 a night

thailand - good deals at the low to medium range as they don't put an emphasis on service when pricing is high...westerners expect superior service and willing to pay for it...

I believe the 99 baht deal in the Plaza is an opening special....not too sure how long they will keep that going.

Oh and there is also a new place in the Plaza doing fair dinkum burgers. Aussie guy just recently set up shop. Good quality burger pattie using kiwi and Aussie beef.

Not tried it yet but other expat friends say it's bonzer tucker. About 250 baht per burger. This place is just along from Simon joint.

What's your take on it es?

I am booked in to Rob's Sausage King on 23rd B499 and Toni's Yummy Pizza B750-ish, on 25th.

Two excellent pig outs, good food by honest folk with straightforward company.

Now't POSH just down to earth, suits a certain type of expat.
