webfact Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Thai woman detained after policeman shot in Pattaya apartment Picture: Sanook PATTAYA: -- A 29 year old Thai woman has been detained by police after a shooting occurred at SK Apartment in Pattaya on Sunday. Phannawadee Thonkaew claims that her policeman boyfriend Somporn Watlamphu shot himself after she said she wanted to break up with him. But seeing as he was shot in the right side of his upper back police are skeptical about this version of events. Patrol officer Somporn is currently in Bangkok Pattaya hospital where doctors managed to save his life. He is in a stable condition, reports Sanook. Phannawadee told Pattaya police that she and the victim were in the apartment together. She said that after he drank six bottles of beer she told him that she wanted to split up with him as he had a girlfriend already. She said he then left the flat in a car and came back a while later with his service gun. She said they talked again and then he pulled out the gun and pointed it at his head threatening to shoot. The gun went off shortly thereafter. Police did not reveal details of the caliber of the gun used. The bullet entered around the neck area behind the head on the right and exited lower down the body. Police detained the girlfriend when they refused to believe her version of events. They are waiting until the patrolman sufficiently recovers before interviewing him to get to the truth of the matter. Investigations for now center around the path of the bullet. Nasrullah Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 But seeing as he was shot in the right side of his upper back police are skeptical about this version of events .. She said that after he drank six bottles of beer she told him that she wanted to split up with him as he had a girlfriend already..... The bullet entered around the neck area behind the head on the right and exited lower down the body. Investigations for now center around the path of the bullet. Since it looks as if he has survived, investigations should now focus on what he has to say
sharecropper Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Do they test for gunshot residue in Thailand? It's never mentioned.
Raymonddiaz Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 RTP= CCTV watchers ...= no CCTV = THEY KNOW NOTHING..
Sarahg Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 The gun saved his life. He was shot and survived. If there was no gun, he would have "fallen" off the balcony and surely died.

Why do some posters make up crap such as this...unless you have a link, of course?
bangon04 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 He drank at least 6 bottles of beer and then tried to shoot himself in the head but missed? Sounds plausible for Thai police marksmanship. I remember recently a video of a dozen police firing dozens of rounds at a young hiso in a car and failing to hit him or the car - presumably they were sober at the time.....
sirmud63 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 why would she wait till he was drunk to tell him they were finished . thats just asking for trouble .......... or an excuse.

Has the Police Forensics improved in last 2 years??? I bet every Cambodian and Burmese person in earshot of the shooting must have been halfway to the boarder before the fist policeman got to the crime scene.
gemguy Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Geez...these people do not handle stress very well...especially break ups between lovers. Cheers
DD13 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 This " jerk " should never be allowed to be in possession of a gun.....it is a weapon.....not a toy.....to be used as a bargaining chip when things aren't going right in his relationship apart from that he couldn't even hit his own head.....let alone firing it in a public place

Nothing but a Thaivisa poster's complete fabrication.
