In Thailand:140kph on Sukkhumvit at night during week behind Na Jomtien beach

But I only drive in Pattaya area and I don't want to have a motorbike on my car (Blood is not good for painting :o:D )

In Europ

On circuit: Francorchamps 24 h in 1978 (last race on the big old Francorchamps :D ; was closed and transformed afterwards) around 250 km/h with VW Scirocco

On open road: around 220 km/h on Ferrari 348 gts (only some minutes the car was floating)

And same max speed on long distance with a Toyota Supra. (32 minutes for 100 kms on highway in Belgium 25 years ago ) No radars during night in these old good years :D

It's not big or clever.

What isn't ?

And why would you think people think it is BIG or clever ? :D

225KPH on an 1100cc Bike and 180KPH in my Fortuner.

It was more comfortable in the Fortuner................ :o

As a young corner worker at a race track in West Virginia at the end of a Porsche club event, I got a ride in a 934 race car. We were hitting 300kph before braking for the first turn. The g-forces were amazing! My shoulders hurt from hitting the harness so hard during the braking g's.

Driving real fast here in Thailand isn't too smart. I've had a motorcycle here up to 150kph which about max safe speed here for any of the roads here.

In the US I've opened up an FJ1200 to 250kph.

250kph felt pretty fast with one hand taking the photo and the other steering...

Not big, not clever, but I wanted people to see just how quickly I wanted to get out of Bradford!

Ps. If you look out the windscreen in this shot you can see cars braking for up comming road works!! :D

This was my Lexus GS 300 (Nos boosted) at her best.

Ps. check out the Rev counter. there was plenty left in the old girl. she would go off the clock! (on a closed road, with permission :o )

I did 120 km/h on my wifes scooter in buriram once. But 260km/h back home in Norway in an overboosted old ford sierra. A bit scary that was.

If we are including bikes:

297kph on my slightly modded ZZR1100D3 with the ZXR750 Carb tops.

Only DOne Half that in Land of Smiles. I have squeezed 120kph out of my 10 year old Honda Tena though!! Looking forward to seeing how fast my BS M20 will go, but its been modified with a Honda Engine... We'll just have to see, won't we....

My GF's honda dream's speedo's bust... but I reckon I've clocked 70kph on it.

I recently witnessed a BiB throw his helmet at a guy on a similar bike, doing a similar speed. This chap tried to avoid the forthcoming police check point (not sure why, he had a full faced helmet on)with a quick sideways dash onto a parallel running side road... the helmet missed, but in ducking, he spilt off his bike, sliding into a parked car. Probably would have been OK, with a few broken bones...but then his Honda smashed into him.

A case of 'som nam naa' I suppose, but a good indication to me how risky life can be on a bike.

Still got my VFR though, but no more riding minus helmet + protective gear.

Little bit over 200 km/h on the Tollway to Don Meung. Actually not so unusual being

from Germany. Was blocked on the expressway before for too long and almost missed my

flight to Europe.

Once I arrived, the plane got delayed for another 45 minutes though.

220 km/h on my former Pontiac Trans Am on Chonbury Motorway. But it is dangerous to drive that fast, usally to much traffic and roads are not in good condition to trive fast.
